Community Engagement through the Arts - Practicalities & Funding

 

 

 

Program:

This practical workshop will introduce artists and practitioners to establishing, planning and delivering successful community arts programmes as well as identifying appropriate funding streams to finance the delivery of your creative projects.

 

Who is it for?
 
Artists of all disciplines, who are interested in working with all types of community groups, and wanting to expand the work they are able to do and improve their employability.

 
Trainer: Brian Dawe, SAFE Productions
 
Brian established SAFE in 2000 and has managed the organisation since. During this time he has developed, managed and delivered the creation of over 70 public artworks with a total budget exceeding £1M. Through its inclusive practice SAFE Productions has engaged over 5,000 people of all ages and abilities resulting in high quality creative projects and programmes.
 

 

Cost:
 
£25 (including lunch)- This workshop has been generously funded by Liverpool Vision, meaning we are able to offer places at highly subsidised rate.

Practical Training for Visual Artists: This specially tailored and highly subsidised series of workshops and courses has been developed to give artists an invaluable grounding in a wide range of relevant areas, improving skills and increasing employability.
